Hi, my name is Melissa!

I am a wife, mother of two, preschool teacher, and creator of Be Kindergarten Ready.

This is my family, aren't they cute?!

Fun fact - they're the reason Be Kindergarten Ready was created!

My daughter was born when I was just 18 years old, and wanting to be the best mother I could be to her,

I decided to go to school for Early Childhood Education to better understand her educational development.

Flash forward a few years, I was teaching in a large childcare facility, which ended up shutting down due to Covid lockdowns. I then had the chance to teach my son at home using one-on-one, hands on learning instruction, which we both really enjoyed!

It got me thinking that so many others might enjoy teaching their preschoolers foundational skills from home as well,

so my husband encouraged me to create a program for them to do just that!

And it works!

Now I'm sharing the proven model we used to help get him and so many others ready for kindergarten.

My goal here is to serve families in a positive way, and help as many preschoolers as I can to feel

confident and competent, as well as instill in them a love of learning!
